Adjacent to Johnston Medical Hospital

Hospital Johnston Medical Hospital (JMH) is located adjacent to the Spring Branch site.  The first $30 million phase was completed in 2009 includes an emergency department, diagnostic imaging and lab services and two operating rooms.  Phase two will include 27 acute care beds that will move from the Smithfield facility to this location In all, Johnston Health is licensed for 155 acute care beds and 20 behavioral health beds.

Spring Branch will have a primary connector road to the hospital which will connect from the main access spine road at the round-about to the hospital main access.  This will provide two way flow of traffic between Spring Branch and to the hospital as well as a second stop-lighted full access to NC 42 for the hospital emergency vehicles – a requirement of their phase two expansion.  This is also an advantage to any pharmacy, retail or food at Spring Branch.
